Slowly but surely my Mobo awards dreams are coming true. I’m not exactly where I want to be… which is on the stage hosting the annual event… but soon come.
It all started in 2012 when I attended the awards ceremony in Liverpool as a member of the press with Link Up TV. I was so nervous and almost messed up some HUGE interviews because of it, but my homie, mentor and director Rashid literally shook me and calmed my nerves and I had my first red carpet and awards coverage. And yes I absolutely loved!
On to 2013, I was asked to be on the first EVER Mobo Awards panel. The panel where hand picked and selected as representatives of the “music industry ” and yes I was soooo honoured to be apart of it! Unfortunately I was unable to attend as the awards were all the way in Glasgow, but it was a pleasure contributing to the nominations shortlist!
Well let’s fast forward to 2014! More specifically yesterday lol.
I had the pleasure of attending the Mobo Awards 2014 launch event where they announced this year’s Mobo awards nominees and Yes for the second year, I was on the official Mobo Awards Nominations panel. It was an absolute pleasure to attend and hear the live announcements.
